San Jose, California-headquartered Atlona Technologies has announced the launch of new line of HD/SDI Splitters for broadcasting applications.
The new products are:
1X4 Splitter – AT-SDI-14, priced at USD 449,
1X4 Splitter with re-clocking – AT-SD-14RC, priced at USD 549,
1X6 Splitter – AT-SDI-16, priced at USD 499, and
1X6 Splitter with Re-clocking – AT-SDI-16RC, priced at USD 599.
The products work on a power supply of DC 5V/4A.
These splitters take a single input and distribute the signal to four or six identical outputs as appropriate. Each of the outputs support audio, and they two of the units, as listed above, have re-clocking capabilities. The benefit of re-clocking technology, according to the company release, is that it brings the capability of buffering transmissions to send signal over 1,000ft with high resolutions up to 1080p and full bandwidth of 1.48Gbps.
The devices are based on SDI (SMPTE 259M) and HD-SDI (SMPTE 292M) standards. The circuitry can automatically detect SDI and HDSDI and process the signals through the correct route.
Besides distribution amplifiers, the company is also in the business of broadcast, entertainment and medical digital imaging.
